Jack Daniel's Distillery

As the oldest registered distillery in the country, Jack Daniels Distillery has a long and storied history of crafting some of the best spirits around. Fortunately, you can customize your experience through various distillery tours.

Each tour is focused on a different part of the distillery’s history and spirit making process. We’ve put together brief overviews of each tour below.

Angel’s Share Tour

The Angel’s Share Tour was named after an expression that refers to the evaporation that some whiskey batches experience, usually about 2% a year. The tour takes you through Jack Daniel's Distillery and then to one of the barrel houses onsite. Here, you’ll be treated to samplings from barrels stored in the highest reaches as well as stories about expressions from the Single Barrel collection.

The tour lasts about 90 minutes.

Flight of Jack Distillery Tour

On this tour, you’ll be led through the distillery by a seasoned storyteller, who will teach you about the history of the facility as well as the traditions of whiskey making in Tennessee. Afterward, you’ll end up at one of the more famous barrel houses on the property, Barrel House 1-14, where you’ll be treated to a flight of some of the most popular Jack Daniels whiskeys and liquors.

The Flight of Jack Distillery tour lasts about 90 minutes.

Dry County Distillery Tour

For those who want to learn more about the distillery without partaking of any of the spirits, we highly recommend the Dry County Distillery Tour.

Not only is the tour 100% whiskey free, but it also is the most focused on the history behind Jack Daniels. You’ll learn more about the distillery as well as the life and accomplishments of the distillery’s founder, Mr. Jack. The tour is suitable for all ages, which can make for a great day trip for the family

The Dry County Distillery Tour lasts about 70 minutes.

The Bonded Tour

The name of this tour refers to bottled-in-bond whiskeys, high-quality spirits that meet the strict standards of the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897. The Bonded Tour explores the innovations of whiskey making that came from this period while also taking you through the crafting process of two of a newer bonded line of Jack Daniel’s whiskeys.

You’ll end the Bonded Tour with an exclusive tasting in the distillery’s original Revenuer's office.
