Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail At Hampton Cove

The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail At Hampton Cove is one of several trails from the Robert Trent Jones golfing. A golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones, or “RTJ” as commonly abbreviated, helped to design or redesign over 500 courses throughout the United States and 35 other countries. Hampton Cove is the Huntsville edition of the trail, and is a 54-hole facility.


There are two courses within the Hampton Cove trail that stand out: the River Course and the Highlands Course.


River Course

Showcasing stunning views of the Tennessee River, the River Course has water on 16 of its 18 holes. It will tempt the best golfers with its precise hole destinations. Rolling hills and challenging greens make this course one of the best for those looking to test their skills. Highlands Course

Huntsville Country Club

Founded in 1925, the Huntsville Country Club is one of the oldest private clubs in the state of Alabama. The tree-lined course provides beautiful views for its participants. The Ledges Golf Course


The Ledges Golf Course is a family oriented club that provides a 18-hole championship course. There is a newly developed short game practice area next to the driving range where you can practice your hits, and ensure success out there on the greens.


Created by Jerry Pate, an architect, this course opened in 2002. In addition to golf, it offers additional amenities, as listed below:

The 36,000 square foot clubhouse can be found at the top of the golf course, where themed dinners and social events are held throughout the year. Sunset Landing Golf Course

A more casual and affordable option, Sunset Landing Golf Course is owned by PGA professional Mike Parrish and Andy Villarreal. Quality meets the greens with this par 72 course. With its slopes and great ratings, the Sunset Landing is ideal for all types of golfers. Its well-maintained facilities provide clean and safe golfing experiences. Amenities include a grill and restaurant, as well as a fully stocked golf shop.
